Common use

Cyclomune Eye Drops is used to treat dry eyes. It promotes increased tear production by reducing ocular inflammation (swelling). This lubricates the eyes and relieves pain.

Dosage and direction

Cyclomune Eye Drops should only be used externally. Use it according to your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration. Before using, read the directions on the label. Keep the dropper close to your eye but don't touch it. Place the medicine inside the lower eyelid with a gentle squeeze of the dropper. Wipe away any excess liquid. Before each usage, wash your hands and give the bottle a good shake. If you wear contact lenses, make sure you take them out and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

Precautions

The use of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended without a doctor's advice. It is best to consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or nursing.
Patients with ocular surface compromise should exercise caution while using this medicine as cyclosporin may delay wound healing.

Contraindications

Cyclomune Eye Drops is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to either benzalkonium chloride or cyclosporin, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
It is also contraindicated in patients who currently have active ocular infections.

Possible side effect

The majority of side effects are minor and will go away as your body adjusts to the medicine. If they don't go away or you're worried about them, see your doctor. Side effects of Cyclomune Eye Drops: Blurred vision, Burning sensation in eye.

Drug interaction

Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking including prescription, non-prescription and other supplements to prevent unwanted side effects.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of this medicine, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

Overdose

Overdose through the ocular route is unlikely for Cyclomune Eye Drops. If accidental oral ingestion occurs, general supportive measures are recommended. In case you happen to put a few extra drops in your eye, do not panic. Rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If any symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

Storage

Store Cyclomune Eye Drops below 25°C. Do not freeze. Protect from light and moisture. Keep away from children and pets. To protect from contamination, do not touch the tip of the dropper or vial top to the eye or any other surface.
